The accompaniments to these beautiful Sonatas are the work of a true artist, who, with all the technical resources at his command, worked in reverential spirit with regard to the style and character of the old Master. The accompaniments are varied and very interesting in their wealth of contrapuntal device and figuration. The careful way in which all the ornaments are written out, and the bowing and fingering add still further to the value of this fine edition.
