The first edition was bound in brown cloth. Lord Byron's Coat of Arms, with Coronet, Supporters and Motto, is stamped in gold on the cover.

_Note_.--This Edition, which is printed in double columns enclosed by a double line, has been reissued at brief intervals from 1838 to 1902.
