1. _Caverns_ of Hāpu. Two of the copies of this chapter in the papyrus of Nebseni give the interesting variant ⁂⁂⁂⁂⁂. ⁂ is the well known equivalent of ⁂⁂, and the fountains of the Nile are also indicated by the group ⁂.

2. This passage does not occur in chapter 129 , and is apparently an interpolation, which however is already found in ancient copies.
